Pinole Community Service Day
Saturday, June 7, 2014
The fourth annual Pinole Community Service Day will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014. This is a great opportunity in Pinole for residents to help make their community or neighborhood a better place to live. Last year, more than 150 volunteers participated in a variety of community projects which paired volunteers with community organizations for three-hour hands-on service projects, followed by a free thank-you lunch at the Pinole Senior Center. Pinole Farmers’ Market
Saturdays, 9am – 1pm (rain or shine)
Pear Street & Fernandez Avenue parking lot

A  Certified   Farmers'  Market  is  a location  where growers  from  all over the State of California gather to sell those  fruits,  nuts  and  vegetables  they  have  grown  themselves.

Available products and activities may include:

  • cherries, strawberries, peaches, blueberries, melons & apples
  • corn, squash, mushrooms, tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, long beans, bok choy
  • honey, almonds, vinegars, chutneys, sauces, apple cider, fresh fish, salami, crawfish, artisan breads, pastries
  • Pinole Artisans showing, selling, and creating art
  • Pinole Chamber of Commerce highlights local businesses
  • potted plants, roses, cut flowers
  • cook-offs, cake and food information
  • music and other entertainment, children's corner, face-painting, prizes, balloons

Pinole Spring Festival 2014
Hosted by the City of Pinole

Sunday, May 18, 2014, 10:00am – 4:00pm
Old Town Pinole
Enjoy an afternoon of delight in Fernandez Park.  Live music , dance performances raffles, games and art vendors.  Pancake breakfast at the Pinole Senior Center, 7am – 11am, $7 per adult and $3 per child under 12.One Generous Single Serving of pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, hash browns, and pastries.

 
   

Relay For Life
Aug 9-10, 2014, 10am to 10am
Fernandez Park

Relay For Life, a 24-hour team event to fight cancer, is the signature fundraising activity of the American Cancer Society. Each Relay is made up of teams of 10-15 participants who take turns running or walking around a local track to raise money for research, cancer education, patient service programs, and advocacy.
