We are pleased that you are considering hosting your event with the City of Pinole Recreation Department. We have large and small meeting spaces and party venues to meet your groups’ needs. Please review the listings below for more details on our spaces. For your convenience you will find the links to the applications right above this text. We look forward to helping you finalize your rental needs in the near future.

Reservations can be made by completing the appropriate application.

ALEX CLARK ROOM - The Alex Clark Room is located in the Public Safety Building at 880 Tennent Avenue and is available for non-profit organizations only.

Fee is $10 per meeting for Pinole Organizations and $25 per meeting for Non-Pinole Organizations. A meeting is a maximum of 2-hours.

The City of Pinole reserves the right to use the Alex Clark Room at any time.

Children are not allowed to run and play in the Court Yard area outside, nor play (throw balls, etc.) in the lobby downstairs, on the staircase, or in the upstairs reception area.


RULES FOR USING THE ALEX CLARK ROOM

  • An adult must attend children at all times.
  • All equipment is properly used & cared for.
  • Clean up beverage spills immediately and inform staff (in case we need to request deep cleaning by our Public Works Dept).
  • DO NOT adjust the thermostat above 70 degrees.
    It may be adjusted to a lower temp, but anything higher than 70 degrees could cause Cable TV equipment in the adjoining room to overheat and cause serious damage to the equipment.
  • DO NOT Block the door that leads into the Master Control Room, under any circumstance. Sign on door reads: "Please Do Not Block This Door".
  • When you are finished with the room:
    • Arrange tables & chairs in a neat and orderly manner
    • Discard trash, food & drink items in the trash bins
    • Turn off the lights, lock the door and return the key

If previous users did not comply with the above rules, please report noncompliance(s) to (510) 724-9004.

Your rights for use of the Alex Clark Room will be permanently suspended if City Office Staff has to contact your Organization more than twice for noncompliance with the above Rules.


KEY POLICY

  1. The key to the Alex Clark Room is to be picked up at the Pinole Youth Center, 635 Tennent, between the hours of 8am - 4pm for information. Call (510) 724-9004 for information. For weekend use, the key must be picked up on Friday before 12:00pm.
  2. The key must be returned by 12:00 noon the following day. For weekend use, the key must be returned on Monday, by 12:00 noon.

Alex Clark Room

FERNANDEZ PARK - Specific areas of the park may be reserved, however use of non-reserved areas such as the basketball courts and playground equipment may impact reserved areas.

Fernandez Park Reservation fees:

Barbecue area with pit and some grass area
Resident: $110 per day
Non-Resident: $138 per day

Gazebo
Resident: $250 per day
Non-Resident: $313 per day
Jumper Fee
Resident: $50 per jumper, per day
Non-Resident: $75 per jumper, per day

Fees may be paid in cash, check or credit card

The posting board for your Reserved Sheet is located next to the barbecue pit and next to the gazebo. The Reserved Sheet is completed by city staff and is provided to you at the time your application is approved.

PINOLE MIDDLE SCHOOL GYM- The Pinole Sports and Fitness Center is available for rental. For one-time rentals or ongoing leagues, this is a beautiful, new facility offered at a low cost for the community.  The facility is available to rent the main gym or small exercise rooms.  A non-profit rate is available.

PINOLE SENIOR CENTER- The Pinole Senior Center is conveniently located in Old Town Pinole adjacent to Fernandez Park.

The main hall of the Pinole Senior Center is approximately 4,000 square feet and can seat up to 250 people. This hall can be used for weddings, receptions, classes, meetings and parties. A well-kept oak floor makes this room ideal for events that include dancing. There is plenty of parking in the lot located in front of the center. The use of round or rectangular tables, chairs and limited use of a modern kitchen facility are provided in the contract. Liability insurance, security and a security deposit are required. Alcoholic beverages may be served if all requirements are met. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed at any youth designated events – NO EXCEPTIONS! Reduced rates may apply to non-profit organizations.

Reservations will be received on a first come, first serve basis. $550.00 (No Alcohol) or $800.00 (with Alcohol) is do at time of reserving. Reservations will be taken no more than one year in advance, and no less than one month prior to the event date. All fees, proof of security and room diagram (if we are doing your table set-up) is due 30 days prior to the rental date.

Security is required at all Senior Center Rentals. Renters must provide their own security & provide proof of security guard's contract and verification.

Senior Center

PINOLE SWIM CENTER- Lap swimming pool facility and center are available for rental. Facilities include main pool, training, and wading pool. There is also a snackbar. Click here for more information about the Swim Center.

Pool

PINOLE VALLEY PARK PICNIC GROVE- Picnic facilities can be reserved for special events. Pinole Valley Park Picnic Grove fees are as follows:

Resident: $55 per day
Non-Resident: $83 per day

The Picnic Grove has four picnic areas with various amenities, including wheelchair accessibility, room for an inflatable jumper and water fountains.

There is also a $50.00 refundable holding fee (cash only) when a restroom key is requested with a reservation.  This fee is refunded upon return of the key to City Hall second floor service.

PINOLE YOUTH CENTER- The Pinole Youth Center is conveniently located in Old Town Pinole adjacent to Fernandez Park.


Main Room

Main Room

The main room of the Pinole Youth Center can seat up to 80 people and the smaller Meeting Room can seat up to 40 people. The Youth Center can be used for weddings, receptions, parties, baptisms, classes, and meetings. The Game Room (includes XBOX 360, Playstation, Wii and a variety of games and movies), Computer Room (includes filtered internet access), and wide vairety of Board Games offer entertainment for the younger aged participants.

The use of 6 foot rectangular tables, chairs and limited use of a commerical kitchen facility are provided in the contract. Liability insurance and a security deposit are required. Alcoholic beverages may be served if all requirements are met. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed at any youth designated events - NO EXCEPTIONS!

Reservations will be received on a first come, first serve basis. $300.00 is due at time of reserving. Reservations will be taken no more than six months in advance. All fees are due 30 days prior to the rental date.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Reservations are taken on a first come, first served basis.
  • Parks are closed from dusk to dawn.
  • Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on City park grounds and this law will be enforced. Personal BBQ Pits are prohibited. Skateboarding is not allowed on City park grounds. Vehicles should not be driven in the park or on the baseball field.
  • You and members of your party are responsible for following all Park Rules. Read them carefully and make sure everyone in your party adheres by them.
  • Jumper-type play equipment is allowed in Fernandez Park and Pinole Valley Grove Park, but only if you use one of the approved jumper companies. More information on Jumper Requirements. Due to insurance requirements, jumper rentals must be from a City-approved company.
  • All refuse must be placed in trash receptacles after each event. It is necessary to leave the park clean and returned to its original state.
